Antique French Cherry refectory table with H stretchers.

A stunning antique French cherry refectory table, with H steretchers, originating from the Bretagne region of France, dating from the late 1800’s to the early 1900’s.

The top is made up of four planks, being 50mm, 2″, in thickness and has just a slight bow in the centre, giving a clue as to it’s age. The base comprises of good quality turned legs, with an H stretcher arrangement, giving good rigidity and a sense of solidity.

The colour of the cherry is absolutely superb, as is the wonderful patination of the piece. A wonderful looking table and it would be almost impossible to find a similar table in both style and colour.
