ALL FRENCH REPRODUCTION FURNITURE. Wildwood Antiques introduced a line of French reproduction furniture, in 2008, so as to compliment their antiques range. Having found that their customers required a bespoke service, catering to their specific needs for French reproduction furniture, a selection of farmhouse tables, chairs and servers have been crafted so as to meet these requirements. We can also build dressers, armoires, buffets, side tables and pretty well any piece of French reproduction furniture required.
All our French reproduction pieces are made, from solid timber, using traditional methods that have been used for centuries. Once the piece is built, it is then coloured, lightly distressed, then hand oiled and waxed to bring out the natural beauty of the timber. The end result is indistinguishable from an original antique piece. All the country timbers are available, Ash, Cherry, Chestnut, Elm, Oak and Walnut are to name but a few. Different style of legs, straight legs (pied droit), tapered legs ( pieds fuseau), and cabriole legs ( pieds biche), along with the addition of extensions, bread slides and drawers, are also available. Tops can be straight through planks, or cleated, this is when a plank is jointed cross grain at the end of a table. In fact any request can be catered for, when ordering one of our French reproduction pieces.
Each piece of French reproduction furniture, is as individual as the client, as it is built to the exact specification demanded by the customer and as a result no two pieces will ever be identical.
