Cast Iron Bench C1780 with smoked oak slats.

A lovely early cast iron bench. The cast ends are in the form of branches, with the bases symbolising tree trunks. The slats are made up of smoked oak, giving them a warm, varied and a good depth of colour and are attached to the cast iron frames with brass bolts and nuts, which have a unique patina in their own right.

This wonderful piece would be equally at home in an elegant garden, or a light and airy garden room.
