French Antique Vintage style Cherry Sliding Door Buffet
An unusual French antique vintage style cherry buffet, this style dating from around 1850. Rather than having opening doors, the doors slide from side to side, making it ideal for those spaces that do not have the room directly in front of the piece.
This type of furniture would probably have originated from a provincial cabinet maker or “ebiniste”, as it would have been built for the maximum amount of storage available with the minimum amount of access necessary.
An extremely useful piece of furniture, that can be used for a great variety of uses.
