French Antique Style 4 Drawer Server

The French 4 drawer server, is the equivalent piece to the English dresser base. Originally these pieces would have been built as a kitchen table and due to the lack of leg room, the family would either stand up and eat or use benches to sit along side the piece.

These pieces are traditionally built, using the same techniques that have been used for centuries. The frame is panelled on both the back and the ends and is built using a motice, tenon and peg construction.  The drawers are dovetailed, both front and back, complementing the quality of the whole build.

There are 2 styles of handle we use which are cast from a mold of an original and are in keeping period wise with this style of piece. We can however fit any style of handle a customer requires.

They can come with a varying amount of drawers from 2 through to 6 depending on the length of the piece required. They are extremely useful as a side piece in a dining room or kitchen as they can be used to hold cutlery, mats and other accoutrements  associated with dining.

This piece can be custom built to any required dimensions, in any timber and coloured to match specific requirements.

All in all this item of furniture makes for a stunning centre piece in either a period or a more contemporary setting.
